Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in digital media, sales, marketing, or product roles.
  • Experience identifying and recommending ways to improve product and customer strategy.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Google Marketing Platform, Google Ads, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience in whiteboarding technology systems and data flows.
  • Experience with the broader marketing and ad technology space.
  • Experience resolving technical issues and making them simple to a variety of audiences, ranging from practitioner to executive.
  • Knowledge of digital industry changes and implications of privacy.
  • Excellent problem solving, technical aptitude, and communication/storytelling skills.

About the job

As a Platforms Sales Engineer, you'll work with Google's customers to help them achieve their business goals by architecting technology and data solutions that deliver positive marketing experiences. You will use your industry and product knowledge to help consult with clients to identify how adopting Google technology and data solutions will integrate and improve their existing marketing technology architecture.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $101,000-$147,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner with data transformation leads and Google Marketing Platform account executives to secure new product licenses and implement advanced marketing solutions.
  • Consult with sales and client teams to conduct discovery and develop technical diagrams and guidelines designed to address specific business requirements, including Google Marketing Platform, Google Ads and applications of Google Cloud Platform.
  • Translate technical solutions into business outcomes through storytelling for both executive and daily customer interactions, and lead product demonstrations, whiteboarding, and consultation on the client's data and technology infrastructure.
  • Provide thought leadership to customers regarding industry and competitor trends, utilize industry and product knowledge to consult with clients and identify how adopting Google technology integrates with and enhances existing marketing technology architecture.
  • Scale knowledge and engagements to upskill internal teams.
