Technical Infrastructure Inventory Accounting Advisor

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Mater's degree.
  • Experience with Cost Accounting.
  • Experience managing project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and project documentation.
  • Ability to have excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to have a collaborative style and work with cross-functional and international teams and also proactively propose next steps, solutions for roadblocks, anticipate questions and issues early in the process, effectively manage time, and consistently follow established work plans.
  • Excellent investigative skills and ability to communicate effectively with executive management.

As the Technical Infrastructure Inventory Accounting Advisor, you’ll play a key role in the development and enhancement of various accounting processes by providing accounting and compliance requirements, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial statements. You’ll become the single point of contact and most trusted business partner for multiple Finance and Operations groups worldwide, for significant matters related to technical infrastructure. You’ll advise on business practices and process improvements in order to maximize value for Google. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000-$183,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Advise and work closely with Technical Infrastructure (TI) business partners on day-to-day decisions and problem solving regarding multiple areas of the technical infrastructure supply chain.
  • Assess new transactions and technical infrastructure flows, and support the determination of their accounting treatment (partner with Technical Accounting as needed).
  • Develop and maintain accounting controls for supply chain transactions.
  • Analyze supply chain and financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other groups (e.g., Financial Planning and Analysis, International Controllership, Server Operations) to optimize accounting processes.
