Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in advertising sales, digital marketing, consulting, or media.
  • Experience with adTech platforms.
  • Experience in people management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in managing and developing sales teams to deliver results.
  • Experience with leadership in sales/operations management, strategic planning, and systems thinking.
  • Experience influencing executive-level clients and stakeholders and driving results in agile environments.
  • Knowledge of customer business objectives, Google Ad Solutions, video advertising (e.g., AI-powered Performance, Connected TV (CTV), AI-powered Video) and the key competitor landscape across traditional and digital brand media advertising.
  • Ability to sell and propose creative technologies across various landscapes of key decision makers.
  • Ability to develop joint business plans in ambiguous environments, and align strategies and deliver customer business outcomes..

The Google Marketing Platform (GMP) team's goal is to increase the adoption of Google's Advertising Technology products and services (CM360, GA360, DV360, SA360).These tools help businesses improve their digital marketing, combining features for planning, buying, measuring, and optimizing digital media and customer experiences.

As the Head of Industry in the GMP Sector team, you possess experience of working directly with major marketers spanning data, media, and MarTech disciplines. You will be expected to develop and maintain executive relationships (typically at the C-level) with key marketer stakeholders, and to design and implement strategic partnership initiatives to advance their digital marketing capabilities.

As a member of our LCS team, you'll have the unique opportunity to sell at the forefront of technology, collaborating with executives, influencing market-shaping strategies, and delivering tangible results that significantly impact major global businesses and drive the growth of Google.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $195,000-$275,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Account Executives, set and communicate team priorities and make decisions and support activities that align with Google’s values.  
  • Build and manage relationships with C-level clients and executive partner stakeholders. Develop a comprehensive understanding of their business issues, marketing objectives, and success metrics.  
  • Structure a clear, long-term joint strategy between Google and clients, and lead a cross-functional team within Google to collaborate on projects and drive client success.  
  • Set and drive business strategy for clients in assigned sectors across all major GMP product categories, including Display and Video 360 (DV360), Campaign Manager 360 (CM360), Search Ads 360 (SA360), and Google Analytics 360 (GA360).
  • Own and strategically sell to a specified book of business, focusing on the acquisition of GMP Platform licences and their renewals, identifying new lines of business.
