Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience managing and scaling UX related programs.
  • 3 years of experience managing, coaching, and developing a team.
  • Experience with UX disciplines and user-centered development tools and methodologies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with the product development life-cycle.
  • Experience with consumer e-commerce, payments, or subscription businesses.
  • Ability to take ownership of the project life-cycle while effectively self-managing priorities.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.

UX Programs & Operations drives projects by increasing communication, streamlining the UX design process, and fostering a culture of user-centered development. You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, to create industry-leading products based on user insights.

As a UX Program Manager, you will combine expert project management with a passion for user experience to improve the design of products used by billions. Your role is to plan projects, define milestones, assess risks, create actionable insights, and ensure deadlines are met. You will harmonize the work of various UX disciplines and cross-functional partners to drive team objectives and create innovative experiences.

Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$274,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Elevate operational excellence in UX teams to build trust and deliver high-impact projects through stakeholder collaboration.
  • Define program roadmaps and user-centered goals aligned with long-term objectives.
  • Oversee critical efforts for broader or cross-functional projects, programs, and strategies. 
  • Advocate for the establishment of key UX metrics that drive a culture of user-centered development across a wide range of program work.
  • Manage large, complex programs into an efficient organization.
