Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
- Experience in the following areas: Storage Systems, Databases, SQL, Data Analytics.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- Experience with C++ and Java.
- Experience building infrastructure in Google Cloud or other Cloud providers.
- Experience with high-performance scalable storage and distributed systems back-ends.
- Experience building or operating large-scale database or data warehouse systems.
- Experience delighting enterprise customers, with an understanding of enterprise workloads.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Ensure System Reliability: Design and implement tests and experiments to evaluate and monitor the performance of the system, using a full battery of tools to develop, test, and rollout features.
- Coordinate Cross-Stack: Coordinate with product engineers in all parts of the SW stack to ensure seamless integration.
- Drive BigLake Innovation: Contribute to the end-to-end delivery of BigLake features, ensuring replication and disaster resilience for all managed metadata.
