Administrative Business Partner, Data Center Delivery and Engineering

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of administrative experience in a technology or international environment working on core administrative tasks (e.g., travel management, expense reports, calendar management, facilities coordination, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 6 years of administrative experience supporting executive-level management in a corporate environment, and managing small-scale projects and events from pre-planning to execution.
  • Experience in project management or event planning.
  • Ability to grow in fast-paced environments, demonstrating high flexibility, adaptability, and self-supporting execution.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with team members, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners.
  • Excellent attention to detail skills, with the ability to cultivate strong relationships, leverage perspectives, and communicate effectively across all job functions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

As an Administrative Business Partner, you're at the heart of your team's business operations and activities and the soul that keeps your team moving forward. You anticipate the needs of your managers and team members and help them stay focused on their projects by resolving operational and administrative issues before they arise. You move quickly with the changing environment and are up to date with the latest Google products and services. You also use that knowledge to strategically support your team's projects. In addition to being organized and analytical, you possess the strong business judgment and communication skills needed to interact with a variety of people and job functions.

The Data Center Delivery and Engineering (DCDE) team is a collection of Civil, Structure, Architecture (CSA) and Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) design experts, mechanical and electrical field engineers, construction project managers, water/air experts, commissioning experts, data center services managers, and cost and project controls managers who design, schedule, construct, commission and close out the most efficient data centers in the world, at a fast pace, safely and in a scalable manner to match the business requirements. We are responsible for delivering the technical infrastructure that powers Google globally. This team interacts heavily with the Acquisitions and Development team and Data Center Operations team.

We're adept at leading and managing a variety of simultaneous projects, which requires the particular talent of being able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex calendars, often for multiple leaders, requiring an understanding of business priorities to make informed decisions.
  • Coordinate and manage domestic and international travel arrangements, including itineraries and logistics. Process and manage expense reports in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with Google policies.
  • Plan, organize, and execute team events, offsites, and larger meetings, including budget management, vendor coordination, and logistics. Act as a liaison with facilities real estate and workplace services for space planning and team move coordination. Contribute to the administrative business partner community and potentially mentor other ABPs.
  • Manage purchase orders and track team-related expenses against budget. Serve as a central point of contact for the team, managing inquiries and requests efficiently.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the team's administrative operations. Manage confidential information with discretion and uphold Google's standards and policies.
