Content Partner Engineer, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • 3 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Internet video technologies (e.g., digital rights management solutions, video or audio codecs, live streaming, 360/VR) and in the ad tech space.
  • Ability to learn technical concepts and communicate them to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to speak and write in Arabic fluently to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and work in a fluid environment.

About the job

The YouTube Content Partner Engineering (CPE) Team is a global team with domestic representation in YouTube's core markets and seizing their technical expertise to grow and scale YouTube and its priority partners. CPEs work on a dedicated content partner portfolio, often partitioned by a specific market. Daily Tasks done by YouTube CPEs include (but not limited to) working with content partners on technical matters to scale and grow their business, that require current technical knowledge of web technologies, APIs, troubleshooting, Data Analysis, Programming and Partner Management.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, drive and enhance the business flow from existing and new business opportunities for YouTube and its content partners by leveraging YouTube technologies.
  • Perform implementation and operational reviews, advocate new product features, and ensure the resolution of technical challenges.
  • Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management and Engineering.
  • Guarantee the technical aspects of a partner’s integration (both new and ongoing) by providing necessary documentation and technical guidance.
