Federal Finance Analyst, Google Public Sector, Finance

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Operations, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in management consulting, or an operations-related function; or 5 years of experience with an advanced degree in business, accounting, or finance.
  • Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with Polygraph.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in federal contracting, product/service accreditation, and hybrid cloud/hardware/service agreement structures for regulated customers.
  • Experience working in an unstructured environment, navigating ambiguity, managing multiple assignments, and establishing clarity and structure.
  • Understanding of cloud network infrastructure, demand planning, capacity planning, and system architecture.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with technical, business, and operations stakeholders, ensuring deep engineering alignment for customer support, custom product development, and strategic investments, with impeccable business judgment and to effectively influence leadership across all functions.

About the job

The Market Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as the primary financial point for business health and forecasting, agreement management governance, and strategic business partnership for Google Public Sector (GPS) within the Federal sector.


In this role, you will lead the development and execution of strategic finance initiatives that drive sustainable growth for GPS Federal across Google Cloud's suite, emphasizing US federal government customers and regulated industries. You will partner with Go-to-Market (GTM), Tech Strategy and Delivery (TS&D), Strategy Operations, and Engineering to build Google's next 10 billion dollars business. Your quantitative analysis, strategic insights, and expert advice will be crucial in the key decisions facing the C-suite over the next 5 years.


Must be a US Citizen to meet customer and compliance requirements, including potential access to classified information.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000-$183,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive business and bookings growth within federal and regulated customer segments, with a focus on complex contracting, product/service accreditation requirements, hybrid cloud, hardware, and service deals, and sustainable margins.
  • Engage in Cloud agreementss across GPS, working cross-functionally (Business, Finance, Pricing) to ensure a sound agreement strategy from a financial lens, balancing risk/opportunity, and clearly understanding financial implications to entity profit and loss (margin, investments, discounts).
  • Develop sophisticated models, data tools, and analyses to provide insights into business growth trends, consumption patterns, discounting, and growth drivers. Deliver ongoing reporting, forecasting, and business reviews for GPS and Google Cloud leadership.
  • Prepare comprehensive documents articulating complex federal deals and business plans for key stakeholders, including GPS leadership and Cloud CFO.
