Media Lead (English, Korean)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding of the Korea marketing landscape, including consumer trends, media channels, and ecosystems.
  • Ability to demonstrate measurable impact of campaign strategy and integrated media optimization toward business goals.
  • Interest in AI for media and marketing, with the ability to articulate the key use cases for using AI in media.
  • Strong communication and people management skills along with a track record of solid judgment in ambiguous or fast-moving situations.
  • Track record of managing integrated advertising (online and offline) for large clients in Korea with proficiency in media, measurement, Google and other media platforms.

About the job

As a Creative in Marketing, you bring visual, design, written and experiential acumen to Google products and services, presented across all major media, content, channels, and experiences. You have the ability to perform your role in a flexible, ever-changing environment and must be open to new influences and inspiration. You will work with a deeply cross-functional team and inspire a team of vendor partners by sharing ideas and developing effective solutions to generate multiple concepts supporting all forms of major media. You will be equally comfortable making; rolling up your sleeves and designing, mocking, writing, or prototyping; showing, not telling. Above all, you will inspire and lead by example by making the most of every opportunity to develop breakthrough creative, consistent with the Google Marketing brand, and be able to take and provide clear direction and creative feedback that pushes work forward.

As the Media Lead, you will be the go-to Media professional for Google Marketing in Korea. You will provide media expertise to shape the future of a variety of key Google products.

You will closely partner with Product Marketing Managers and Media agencies to build campaign strategies, tactical media plans, measurement and optimization recommendations. You will act as the primary point of contact for local and regional media agency partners, ensuring compliance with best practices and guidelines. You will manage cross-functional stakeholders and advocate for compelling creative and rich media experiences across online and offline channels.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the principal media authority for Google Korea, providing oversight to Media agencies, Partners and Marketing Managers.
  • Guide brand and performance programs, driving holistic campaign strategies and maintaining an integrated test-and-learn agenda to maximize business impact and Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Establish processes for managing complex media campaigns across social, on-network, and off-network channels to deliver a seamless, full-funnel consumer experience.
  • Provide expert media leadership through engaged assessments and benchmarking, formulating authoritative points-of-view that push boundaries in integrated advertising and digital innovation.
  • Lead external media agency partners to achieve operational excellence while collaborating on forward-thinking solutions that leverage the latest Media features and ad technologies.
