Technical Program Manager, Corp Eng Program Management Office

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience managing end to end software engineering programs.
  • Experience with matrixed leadership roles, leading other program managers through program strategies, project execution, and risk management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to run and deliver results on large-scale, complex technical projects and developing strategies to align to business requirements from customers or partner teams.
  • Excellent technical, problem-solving and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and investigative skills with the ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and prioritize work across multiple teams including partner teams.
  • Execute roadmaps with partner teams and leading product/Engineering delivery.
  • Manage cross-functional software engineering programs and projects including communicating schedules, priorities, status, and risks to all levels in the company.
  • Play a key role in the advancement of strategy and policy working with partner teams to launch key features and projects on-time to identify growth and tactical alignment opportunities with related partner teams and programs.
