Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in event marketing, including planning and executing events and managing data driven insights to drive improvement.
  • 3 years of experience in project management, including managing multiple projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud technologies.
  • Experience working in a global organization.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and online learning platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Excellent communication, people management, and presentation skills.

About the job

As the Events Manager, Cloud Learning Services, you will play a crucial role in expanding the reach and impact of Google Cloud Learning Services through strategic flagship events and event activations at scale. You will be responsible for executing event strategies for Google Cloud Next, as well as across a wide range of industry events, both Google-owned and third-party.

In this role, you will bring a global mindset as you work closely across regional and local teams to help create impactful learning activations at events, driving engagement with Google Cloud Learning Services, and measuring the effectiveness of event activations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$154,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Execute upon a comprehensive event strategy for Google Cloud Learning Services, across Google-owned events and major industry events.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including global and regional marketing, product, and PR) to identify key events, define aimed audiences, and align on event objectives.
  • Manage end-to-end event planning and logistics, including budget management, vendor coordination, and on-site execution.
  • Leverage data and analytics to track event performance, measure key metrics (e.g., attendance, leads generated, certifications earned), and optimize event strategies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in event marketing and learning technologies.
