Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in consulting/program management with a focus on discovery support.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Program/Project Management certification.
  • Experience working with relational databases, as well as using business intelligence tools or dashboarding tools to track and report on metrics.
  • Ability to effectively manage complexity and multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to make connections, with effective business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to navigate and operate within online document review platforms.
  • Excellent entrepreneurial and problem solving skills.

About the job

On the discovery program management team, we serve as solutions consultants supporting the end-to-end discovery life-cycle for Google's legal matters. We apply project management best practices and principles to the legal discovery process. We leverage our technical expertise and industry knowledge to manage cutting-edge challenges and drive impactful change on a global scale. We're technical liaisons who assist with the development and deployment of custom solutions, and we own process improvement initiatives designed to fuel organizational efficiency and velocity.

As a Program Manager, you'll play an integral role in supporting Google's lead and outside counsel on litigation and investigations. You'll assist in the day-to-day management of Google's data collection, processing, production efforts, as well as serve as a solutions consultant on cross-functional projects. You'll work closely with both internal stakeholders and external vendors to create and manage the efficient and cost-effective processes to support Google's discovery program. In this role, you'll be trusted to lead complex and often sensitive cross-departmental strategic initiatives. You will be relied on as a thought partner and problem solver, connecting people and technology in order to drive progress.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$154,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide project and program management support for key discovery workflows on a variety of matters, including patent and general litigation, internal and regulatory investigations, as well as participation matters.
  • Coordinate activities between in-house counsel, outside counsel, and the discovery operations team in order to help manage the data preservation, collection, processing, hosting, and production processes.
  • Drive metrics and tracking initiatives to assist in the development of stakeholder reporting workflows.
  • Pioneer the testing and deployment of new technology to assist in day-to-day operations.
  • Support the continuous improvement of discovery workflows and processes.
