Lead Group Product Manager, Tensor SoC TPU

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • 5 years of experience in people management, with technical leadership.
  • Experience in software optimizations on hardware, accelerators, or mobile machine learning software development.
  • Experience defining and launching silicon products for consumer hardware or data centers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including research, silicon, software, system, operating systems, program management and product marketing teams.
  • Familiarity with mobile computing constraints, OS and software frameworks/tools and software development life-cycles.
  • Understanding of embedded device internals in both software and hardware, including memory management, CPU scheduling and system architecture.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills to advocate initiatives with key stakeholders and executive management.

We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

We are the team that builds Google Tensor - Google’s custom system-on-chip (SoC) that powers Pixel devices. Tensor makes transformative user experiences possible with the help of cutting-edge machine learning running on our Tensor Processing Unit (TPU), Central Processing Unit (CPU), Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) and other subsystems on the SoC. We are looking for an experienced Product Management leader to lead all product aspects for the Tensor SoC and key workloads that drive best experiences on Pixel.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000-$305,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Understand product market needs, landscape, and emerging trends.
  • Develop clear product roadmaps, prioritize features, and articulate the value proposition.
  • Work closely with engineering, research, and other technical teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and pain points, develop effective go-to-market strategies, and drive product adoption.
  • Analyze product performance and customer feedback to iterate and improve the product.
