Partner Engineer, YouTube Shopping

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • Experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in roles such as business intelligence, data analytics, or statistics.
  • Experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience working with systems (e.g., Linux, Unix, Windows).
  • Experience working in E-Commerce ecosystem such as inventory, payments and analytics.

About the job

As a Partner Engineer with a focus on YouTube Shopping in Korea, you will be responsible for delivering partner success and enabling business growth through strategic partnerships and operations. You will develop an understanding of the YouTube Shopping stack, engage with strategic partners in Korea such as e-commerce platforms, marketplaces and identify technical integration paths. You will manage direct technical engagement for strategic partners and design operational frameworks to support growth.

You will also develop the product outlook and road map by channeling partner feedback to product teams and enabling product-market for Live Shopping in Korea.

Responsibilities

  • Build a thorough understanding of YouTube Shopping, Google Commerce and E-commerce Analytics. Identify and deliver growth opportunities in collaboration with product and business teams.
  • Build an understanding of business context and internal engineering platforms to help develop partnership and product strategy and deliver business growth.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of a partner’s integration (both new and ongoing) by providing the necessary documentation and technical guidance.
  • Deliver operational excellence by creating a scalable model for enterprise developer engagement and developer relationships.
  • Review technical terms of partner agreements to ensure that YouTube can deliver what is committed based on our existing product features.
