Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience as a product management leader, developing product vision and roadmap, engaging with customers and driving development, coordinating launches, and ensuring post-launch success.
  • Experience with Internet consumer products, ads experience in subscription businesses, or media, sports, and OTT.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or equivalent experience, demonstrating business acumen.
  • Knowledge of the Internet advertising ecosystem and technologies or experience in scaling subscription-based services.
  • Understanding of LLMs, generative AI, and emerging video models and their potential applications.
  • Understanding of the media industry, with an emphasis on video, media, sports, and OTT.
  • Passionate about sports, media, and the future of entertainment.

In this role, you'll be a creative that take initiative and who is willing to try new things. You will manage numerous projects with time sensitive deadlines. The YouTube Media, Sports, and Over The Top (OTT) teams currently oversee the development and growth of the YouTubeTV and Primetime Channels services as well as YouTube’s direct investments in live sports, media and entertainment.

The YouTube Media, Sports, and OTT team works to transform the way people experience live sports, news, movies and shows across YouTube and YouTubeTV by building differentiated experiences that delight audiences and help partners shine on the world’s largest video platform.

As Vice President of Media, Sports, and OTT, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall business including profit and loss (P&L) stewardship and building a scalable and sustainable business. You will define and drive the product outlook and roadmap for YouTubeTV and Primetime. You will serve as the cross-functional lead for the business in coordination with partner teams across partnerships, engineering, UX, marketing, strategy, finance, and more. You will partner with teams like partnerships and marketing to identify and develop new investment opportunities in the area.

The US base salary for this full-time position is $550,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Product Managers focused on media, sports, and OTT. Serve as an excellent manager/coach/mentor to develop and grow a high-performance product management team.
  • Drive strategic alignment across YouTube and other Google Product Areas such as Deepmind, Ads, Android, and others.
  • Define, advocate for, and execute the outlook and roadmap for Media, Sports, and OTT across YouTube and YouTubeTV,  leveraging AI breakthroughs and capabilities into product development and portfolio strategy.
  • Drive the broader media industry forward by coordinating product initiatives with key media company partners, global sports leagues, and global talent.
  • Build the next generation experience for YouTube TV viewers with a focus on curated content and personalized recommendations.
