Real Estate and Workplace Services Insights Analyst

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role with analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding language (e.g., Python, R, Java, C++, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, etc.).
  • Experience in data analysis, with the ability to solve problems in business environments through solid data intuition and business acumen skills.
  • Experience influencing executive leadership on analytical decision making.
  • Ability to take initiative, grow in ambiguity, and demonstrate problem solving leadership and tenacity with limited oversight.
  • Ability to speak effectively, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels and adapt style to different audiences.
  • Excellent communications skills in writing and creating presentations

Our Real Estate Analysis team supports the development and implementation of our global, strategic real estate plan to deliver timely solutions to meet the needs of our growing company. As a Strategic Planner on this team, you will be a data-cruncher that makes effective business decisions. You will plan the future of Google's physical expansion as you forecast and plan scenarios to help develop, drive and monitor the success of real estate decisions. You have a full and complete understanding and headcount growth and space requirements, ready to identify, track down and resolve data quality issues with a vengeance. You have an uncanny ability to see beyond the numbers. You are a highly analytical individual with strong influencing and negotiating skills.

The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) team creates inspiring spaces and innovative services that bring Google’s culture and values to life. We build and maintain all aspects of what keeps our Googley workspaces operating seamlessly across multiple cities and regions globally. We also manage the industry-leading services that help make Google a great place to work -- from how we design healthy and collaborative workspaces, create energizing food experiences, provide convenient transportation and fitness options, to delivering inclusive environments where Google and our employees can thrive.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$198,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with internal/external stakeholders and earn trust by telling stories with data. Partner and communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop data reports (e.g., SQL), data visualizations (e.g., dashboards), and data pipelines.
  • Develop Curated Insights, turning active and passive data-streams into insights that support the organization’s critical decisions.
  • Own end-to-end data strategies and processes, including requirements gathering, roadmap, development, and delivery of insights.
  • Work with key stakeholders and partners, navigating business requests, and developing timely and effective results.
