Pursuit Lead, Google Cloud Consulting

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in customer-facing roles, managing and securing professional services or transformation strategies in the cloud or enterprise technology domain.
  • Experience managing commercial agreement pursuit and services agreement life-cycles, including qualification, scoping, proposal development, and agreement negotiation.
  • Experience building and maintaining executive-level customer relationships, acting as an advisor and portfolio leader.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience developing holistic services strategies and repeatable solutions across a customer portfolio.
  • Experience collaborating across large, complex internal organizations (e.g., Sales, PSO, Partners), with effective thought leadership, business, and industry acumen.
  • Expertise in cloud platform technologies (e.g., GCP), services, and adoption frameworks.
  • Ability to drive business outcomes and consumption acceleration through governance and execution oversight of signed engagements.

As a Google Cloud Consulting Pursuit Lead, you will connect Google Cloud Consulting Services with our customers, helping them to achieve their business goals. You will understand the customer's business needs and translate them into service strategies, leveraging Google Cloud Consulting and our partner ecosystem. You will work alongside customer teams to align custom standalone and multi-phase program opportunities, including training, support and potential alignment with cross-product area solutions. You will define the services strategy with the goal to de-risk and accelerate Customers’ GCP adoption journey.

You will build, foster, and manage customer relationships at executive level, building trust and helping closing complex agreements.You will travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Define, own, and articulate the comprehensive services and transformation strategy for a specific customer portfolio, partnering directly with the corresponding Sales leadership. 
  • Architect the end-to-end customer services journey, managing the entire services lifecycle from qualification through contracting and creating proposals, leveraging a value services approach to accelerate large-scale cloud adoption.
  • Translate complex customer business goals into a defined services roadmap, scope the required professional services work, and orchestrate the engagement of the right delivery resources.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong executive relationships across the customer portfolio, acting as a trusted advisor and thought leader on Google Cloud's service offerings and transformation capabilities.
  • Drive the successful execution and governance of signed professional services engagements to ensure timely project delivery, consumption acceleration, and achievement of expected business goals.
