Program Manager, Learning and Organizational Development

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience integrating AI technology into learning curricula.
  • Experience in project planning, with an ability to create comprehensive plans outlining execution strategies, resource allocation, and risk mitigation in complex situations.
  • Proficiency in continuous improvement, demonstrating the ability to foster organization-wide engagement in eliminating inefficiencies and sustaining quality.
  • Knowledge of data center operations, supply chain, or managing vendor relationships.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects from start to finish, managing day-to-day operations and resolving complex or ambiguous problems.
  • Excellent communication management skills, capable of articulately representing programs across business, product, and technical touchpoints.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Google’s Data Center Compliance, Strategy, and Risk Management (CSRM) team is a dedicated organization chartered with protecting the people and assets of Google’s global critical infrastructure. CSRM consists of industry leading professionals who leverage advanced safety, security systems, dedicated guarding forces, quality engineers to deliver a holistic safe, resilient and secure physical infrastructure. Additionally, through a risk management and compliance framework CSRM supports the entirety of Google Data Centers (GDC) to facilitate Google Cloud in reaching a broader audience and inspiring trust in their users.

In this Program Manager role, you will be a recognized leader and subject matter expert responsible for designing, executing, and optimizing large-scale, cross-functional learning journeys and cultural initiatives. You will solve difficult and ambiguous problems by organizing them into clear 6 month objectives, ultimately ensuring our leaders possess the strategic, business, and influencing skills to drive results and embed our go fast, safely together culture.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$231,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define, lead, and own program charters across multiple teams for moderately complex leadership programs (such as the leadership accelerator program or operational excellence colleges). Translate ambiguous organizational goals into clear, measurable objectives, Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and milestones.
  • Identify and build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders (including directors, site managers, and facility managers) to strategize, prioritize objectives, and resolve misalignments.
  • Anticipate change management requirements and proactively lead change initiatives, particularly those operationalizing GDC culture and mindset shifts.
  • Measure and publish program metrics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement. Manage dependencies, escalations, and risks while fostering an environment of organization-wide efficiency.
  • Break down complex programmatic issues into smaller, manageable tasks that can be executed by less senior team members, serving as a mentor and guide within the team.
