About the job
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Define, lead, and own program charters across multiple teams for moderately complex leadership programs (such as the leadership accelerator program or operational excellence colleges). Translate ambiguous organizational goals into clear, measurable objectives, Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and milestones.
- Identify and build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders (including directors, site managers, and facility managers) to strategize, prioritize objectives, and resolve misalignments.
- Anticipate change management requirements and proactively lead change initiatives, particularly those operationalizing GDC culture and mindset shifts.
- Measure and publish program metrics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement. Manage dependencies, escalations, and risks while fostering an environment of organization-wide efficiency.
- Break down complex programmatic issues into smaller, manageable tasks that can be executed by less senior team members, serving as a mentor and guide within the team.
