Data Analytics and AI Sales Specialist, SLED, Public Sector

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a sales role in the enterprise software or cloud space.
  • Experience selling to State and Local Government Agencies and Higher Education.
  • Experience working with AI/ML technologies integrated into data solutions.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with BI Front-end, Data Analytics Middleware, or back-end Data Warehouse technologies.
  • Understanding of cloud data analytics technology stack (i.e., Hadoop/Spark data lakes, SQL data warehouses, data streaming, ETL and data governance, Business Intelligence, predictive analytics, OLAP and data science framework, BigQuery, Looker etc.).
  • Ability to translate business value to technology at C-level and act as a thought leader in the data analytics topics.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication/presentation skills, and problem-solving thinking skills, with the ability to plan, pitch, and execute a territory sales strategy.

About the job

As a Data Analytics Sales Specialist, you will help grow the Data Analytics business by building and expanding relationships with new and existing customers. You will work with customers to deliver business value, demonstrate product functionality, and provide a comprehensive overview of key business use cases. You will lead relationships with cross-functional team members, serving as a solution lead within the sales organization. You will lead go-to-market strategies and sales plays, manage campaigns, and provide feedback to Product and Global Solutions teams to inform the product solutions roadmap. You will shape customers' cloud and Data Analytics strategy and enable digital transformation.

In this role, you will focus on customers and prospects who have an opportunity to run data analytics and AI workloads on Google Cloud Platform. You will advocate for the innovative power of our data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) products to make organizations more productive, collaborative, and mobile.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$198,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Generate a plan to ensure broad data analytics and AI pen testing into new Google Cloud accounts.
  • Land new data analytics workloads in existing Google Cloud accounts and accelerate data analytics and AI consumption for key accounts.
  • Build and maintain executive relationships with customers as the data analytics and AI subject matter expert, influence long-term direction, and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Develop sales strategies to accelerate the business cycle.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to grow the business with new data analytics and AI customers and workloads.
