Whether understanding and solving their online content concerns, navigating within global legal frameworks, or writing and enforcing worldwide policy, the Trust & Safety team is on the frontlines of enhancing the YouTube experience, building internet safety, and protecting free speech in our ever-evolving digital world.

In this role, you will help implement and enforce YouTube Partner Program (YPP) policies across channels as part of YouTube’s Trust and Safety team. You’ll work cross-functionally with teams including Scaled Abuse, Ads Policy, Product, and Policy Development to create and operationalize policies that minimize brand risk, are scalable, and are clearly communicated to creators. You will be tasked with addressing the unique challenges of various policy areas (e.g., hate, misinformation, adult content) while developing consistent and resilient processes and guidelines. Additionally, you will review graphic, controversial, and offensive video content to ensure compliance with YouTube’s Community Guidelines.At Google we work hard to earn our users’ trust every day. A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of how YouTube Partner Program (YPP) policies influence users, platform changes, and new product launches. You will be responsible for ensuring that daily content reviews align with YPP policies across various workflows, which may involve reviewing graphic, controversial, and occasionally offensive content.
  • Manage policy enforcement escalations and develop new enforcement guidelines for YPP, delivering training to reviewers and providing expert enforcement advice on grey policy areas.
  • Work with Engineering and Product teams to support tooling improvements (e.g., building detection and enforcement tooling) across YPP workflows..
  • Develop new YPP policies, update enforcement guidelines, and collaborate with the team to scale temporary, vendor, or contractor operations while maintaining quality.
  • Manage escalations while ensuring quality enforcement and clear communication with cross-functional stakeholders.
