As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

To help governments and government customers meet their Google Cloud compliance goals, Cloud CISO Public Sector builds on Google Cloud's core privacy and security measures, adding support for public sector-specific requirements. To do this, we unblock and maintain business by improving program and control maturity, workflow design, program structure, control standardization, and compliance oversight. We serve as a trusted advisor to the business by ensuring that public sector risk exposure is transparent and approved. We promote the growth of Google Cloud’s Public Sector business by driving accountability, consistency, efficiency and governance.

The Cloud CISO Public Sector team is part of the CISO Risk and Compliance organization. The Risk and Compliance team supports Google Cloud by managing risks, ensuring accountability, defining and enforcing compliance standards, monitoring controls, and collaborating with stakeholders to meet evolving security, privacy and compliance requirements.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$258,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead large, complex, cross-organizational strategic compliance programs with measurable business impact, aligned with company-level OKRs.
  • Cultivate trusted partnerships both internally (e.g. with product, engineering, sales, compliance, policy, and legal teams) and externally with Google Cloud regulators and public sector procurement agencies along with government and industry partners.
  • Lead a team to apply technical acumen to evaluate and analyze Google Cloud public sector compliance obligations, including by completing gap analyses and compliance readiness risk assessments.
  • Use problem solving skills and ability to translate ambiguous problems into actionable analysis and artifacts.
  • Lead a team to articulate and document Google Cloud public sector compliance for both external public sector oversight entities and to internal product, engineering, and sales teams.
