UX Designer, Cloud UX Networking

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with industry standard design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, InVisio, Figma, Principle, etc.).
  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Design, HCI, Interaction, or related fields.
  • 1 year of experience leading design projects.
  • Experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, prototyping tools, etc.
  • Experience designing robust and powerful enterprise-class applications.
  • Experience working collaboratively with other designers, product managers, and engineers.
  • Knowledge in Cloud, Enterprise, or Networking.

Google User Experience (UX) is made up of multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers. The UX team plays an integral part in gathering insights about the attitudes, emotions, and behaviors of people who use our products to inspire and inform design. You will collaborate closely with each other and with Engineering and Product Management to create industry-leading products that deliver value for the people who use them, and for Google’s businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Cloud UX leadership, Program Management, Engineering, and others to create a design direction that solves problems across a broad spectrum of users/businesses.
  • Design, create storyboards, wireframes, high-fidelity designs to guide design and development. 
  • Collaborate rapidly to iterate on designs based on user feedback, tech constraints, etc. Drive UX process to a broad set of stakeholders.
  • Lead communication interaction concepts, conceptual ideas and design rationale with clarity, persuasion, and a user-centered design process.
