Customer Engineer, FSI, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • 5 years of experience with cloud infrastructure.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience with load balancing, virtual private networks and their application to Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) technologies.
  • Experience with networking concepts such as software-defined networking, routing, virtual private networks, load balancers and firewalls.
  • Experience with security concepts such as encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, and engagement testing.
  • Experience in migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
  • Experience working with FSI clients, along with knowledge of business demand from different Line of Businesses (LOBs).

In this role, you will bridge the gap from the business requirements to technical capabilities of Google Cloud to fulfill customer’s business initiatives. You will help customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business issues, engage in proofs-of-concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks. You will engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and present solutions on Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Work with various teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Share enterprise architecture expertise to lead the technical relationship with customers including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partner with product management to prioritize solutions which impact customer adoption to Google Cloud.
  • Work with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
  • Guide customers through assessments of existing legacy application environments and provide recommendations on a prioritization road map for infrastructure and application modernization.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to complete solution on Google Cloud.
