EHS Assurance Program Manager

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Credentials or certifications from Board of Certified Safety Professionals, NEBOSH, CSP or equivalent agency.
  • ISO Lead Auditor Certified (ISO 9001, 50001, 14001, 45001, etc.).
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience with the development and implementation of EHS programs and initiatives.
  • Experience in leading and conducting EHS audits and assessments.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Professional certifications in Project Management (e.g. PMP).
  • Understanding of EHS management systems and principles, and EHS regulatory requirements across different jurisdictions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to analyze complex data and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and people skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the EHS Assurance Standard and Audit Procedure. Serve as primary point of contact, initiate and lead assurance and audit activities, including planning, scheduling, management of the third-party vendor assurance model, timely communications and reportings.
  • Oversee the assessment of practices, procedures, and facilities to ensure compliance with EHS regulations, Technical Standards, EHS Management System (EHSMS) requirements, and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure the evaluation of the effectiveness and implementation of the EHSMS. Ensure the verification EHS regulatory compliance and conformance to EHS MS requirements.
  • Recommend improvements to EHS programs, systems, and procedures to reduce risk exposure and noncompliance.
  • Collate, interpret, and report on audit data to inform identified risks at the site, regional, and global levels.
    Drive process improvement by analyzing audit data to identify trends, deficiencies, and best practices.
