Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience enabling the transition of consumer electronics products from New Product Introduction (NPI) to mass production scale.
- Experience with statistical process control, Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, Gauge R and R, Design for X (DFX), and fixture design/qualification.
- Experience in mechanical manufacturing processes (e.g., Stamping, Forging, Injection Molding) with Materials Engineering and System Integration.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in the consumer electronics including new materials and automation solutions with the knowledge of traditional mechanical manufacturing processes.
- Experience of product design process/manufacturability of the material by proposing Design for X (DFX) improvements with a data motivated approach.
- Knowledge of common surface finishing operations (e.g., painting, plating, anodizing, polishing, lapping, sandblasting), mechanical bonding processes (e.g., snap/press fits, ultrasonic welding, gluing, application of pressure sensitive/liquid adhesives).
- Knowledge of cosmetic quality standards (e.g., defining and measuring color, specifying and measuring surface finish, creating cosmetic defect catalogs, establishing grading limits).

You will develop manufacturing processes, establish process capability, and manage quality and inspection systems to consistently deliver products into Mass Production. - Establish and align on specifications, validate process capability and drive process development with cross functional teams/suppliers to validate new technologies.
- Establish outgoing/incoming quality control (OQC/IQC) processes for materials/processes/design, define measurement systems, ensure correlation for data collection/analysis, and drive root cause and corrective actions to move projects forward.
- Work with Reliability Engineering to develop reliability test plans for manufacturing processes that meet critical design validation/user expectations for new projects/finishes.
- Identify manufacturability issues during architecture builds to ensure product quality is stable and that supply is predictable during ramp.
- Provide design for manufacturability/assembly (DFM/DFA) reviews of mechanical parts and make recommendations to the Design team to improve manufacturing performance for quality, yield, and cost.
