Strategic Partnerships Development Manager, Games (Korean, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Ability to communicate in Korean and English fluently to support client relationship management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding of the mobile games market, standards, business models, sales channels and participant landscape.
  • Excellent project management skills including attention to detail, information organization, timeline tracking, and comprehensive communication and collaboration across many teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience executing complex strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Excellent people management and communication skills to formulate and articulate contractual, technical, financial and value points with partners and internal Google teams.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills to monitor and analyze the effectiveness of projects, using learnings to tailor messaging and tactics that maximize impact.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

As a Strategic Partnerships Development Manager for Games, you will cultivate and grow partnerships with top games developers in Korea. Leveraging your strong business acumen and extensive industry knowledge, you will grow a portfolio of amazing game developers and help shape Play's strategy. You will be empowered to think strategically about the Korean mobile games ecosystem, developing thoughtful recommendations and action plans to drive success for your partners and Google.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage business pipelines and develop partnership plans to drive initiatives to improve performance. Project manage execution of partnership plans, deliver reporting and insights, and work with operations teams to ensure lead tracking.
  • Lead cross-functional projects, managing trackers and timelines to achieve objectives. Communicate progress and synthesize feedback for stakeholders.
  • Identify new technical collaboration opportunities between developers and Google, developing strategic execution plans. Lead technical discussions, advocate for developer needs, and secure cross-functional team commitment (product, engineering, marketing, commerce).
  • Advocate for Google's new products and services to drive developer growth. Identify product gaps for enhancement, and execute developer events with cross-Google teams to create best practices.
  • Provide business consultations to key partners to contribute to the business growth, particularly in the global region, based on analysis of metrics, performance, best practices, and strategic priorities.
