Senior Product Manager, Virtual Private Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
  • Experience with networking, network architecture, networking protocols, and software architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience with product management, with a focus on cloud networking.
  • 3 years of experience in software development or engineering.
  • Understanding of AI/ML technologies, including: CPU/GPU roadmap, TPU roadmap and offering, CUJs, Smart NICs market landscape and Neo Clouds.

As large enterprises and AI/ML training customers look to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for deploying their business critical workloads, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) becomes the fundamental construct that they interact with and build on. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to influence strategy and roadmap and deliver products from conception to launch.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Advocate Private Service Connect (PSC) as the default private connectivity on Google Cloud. Own the roadmap to resolve critical limitations for high-value adoption (e.g., RDMA, scalability, security, automation). Simplify Agentic AI connectivity.
  • Drive product strategy for high-performance AI/ML on Virtual Private Cloud (VPC). Evolve core VPC with new hardware (e.g., Andromeda, Bare Metal), partnering to deliver optimal scale, performance, and cost.
  • Lead cross-functional planning and deliver priorities across teams. Engage with strategic customers to resolve blockers, manage escalations, and translate feedback to unblock commercial agreements.
  • Lead Go-to-Market and new business generation strategies to accelerate adoption. Develop external messaging and content (e.g., blog posts) communicating the value of high-performance and private connectivity.
