Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure, AR

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in Java or C++.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
  • 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience with the Google infrastructures (e.g., Borg, BigTable, Spanner, Sawmill, Dremel, Flume, Monarch, Goops).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience using Google infrastructure to design and develop logging clients, data pipelines, back-end services, or front-end web applications.
  • Experience with telemetry frameworks such as Westworld, Clearcut, Mendel.
  • Experience with data storage and processing tools such as Sawmill, Flume, Dremel, Spanner.
  • Experience in developing production-grade Android applications, services and user interfaces.
  • Experience in SQL and reporting/dashboarding.
  • Experience with Gerrit, Git, repo/submodules.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams to define metrics, design systems to collect telemetry data from AR/Virtual Reality (VR) products, and leverage the metrics to enable the decision-making process.
  • Scale the tools and infrastructures to support a growing number of internal clients and external product partners.
  • Work on projects in Python, Go, SQL, Java, and C++.
