Technical Program Manager, Google Public Sector, Customer Program Management Office

This position requires that you currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret. The position further requires that the applicants will obtain a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform GPS work. Failure to maintain (or obtain, if applicable) the appropriate U.S. Government clearance or customer screening requirements that results in the employee unable to perform the requirements of the role, may result in employment action up to and including termination.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in technology consulting, or similar in the federal government space.
  • Active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance with Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI).

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a technical (e.g., Engineering) or a business (e.g., MBA) field.
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience with cloud solutions, including networking, infrastructure, security.
  • Ability to work across teams, build relationships, influence senior managers and successfully manage multiple complex priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills with executive-level stakeholders and team leads.

As a part of Google Public Sector's(GPS) Program Management Office, you will be part of the team delivering Google Cloud innovation to the U.S. Government. A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners across the company. You are equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic, technical, and program management of large, multi-functional Google Cloud projects with strategic customers.
  • Apply your organizational, prioritization, communication and influencing skills to manage multiple concurrent complex interactions with geographically disparate teams.
  • Develop trusted technical and business partnerships across Cloud product teams and stakeholders to identify, assess, and resolve recurring challenges.
  • Manage risks, issues, and actions for customers, and track them regularly to meet the expected outcomes and timelines.
  • Manage program budget, spending, billing and ordering activities.
