Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 7 years of experience leading technical project strategy, ML design, and optimizing ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).
- 5 years of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years of experience working in an organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000-$349,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of large-scale software services that revolutionize data analytics, with a focus on Machine Learning and Generative AI applications.
- Collaborate closely with technical leads to launch innovative solutions leveraging the power of large language models, agents and other advanced AI techniques.
- Navigate unexplored areas by prototyping and researching solutions for groundbreaking ML projects in BigQuery.
- Engage with product managers and customers to decipher requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications, while identifying opportunities to integrate ML and Generative AI solutions.
- Design and develop software services that leverage Generative AI to build new features in BigQuery. Deliver to shape the future of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data analytics by making AI accessible and impactful for our customers. Research and explore innovative solutions in the field of Generative AI and data analytics.
