Product Manager, Local Search Ads

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
  • 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with ads (e.g., bidding, pricing, conversion attribution, formats, ads quality, etc.).
  • Experience with product management, product conception, as well as launching, building, and growing multiple products.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Passion for building high-quality user experiences and product excellence.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

As Product Manager on the Local Search Ads team, you will be responsible for creating new business generation experiences and will work in collaboration with cross-functional partners. Local Search Ads is within Local and Vertical Launchpad (LVL) that is focused on creating new and innovative formats to drive better user engagement and conversions on ad-experiences on SRP.

Google Ads is helping power the open internet with the best technology that connects and creates value for people, publishers, advertisers, and Google. We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Work across the entire ad-stack, from ad-retrieval and ad-formats on SRP.
  • Collaborate with UXR and UX design to build new ad-experiences and drive vertical-specific initiatives forward.
  • Own efforts to build new local ads formats that’ll drive impact across verticals.
  • Own vertical specific local ads experiences (e.g., food, health and beauty, etc.).
  • Own the product portfolio around various attributes pertaining to Call and Click-to-Messaging (CTM) with Local Ads on SRP.
