Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, or a similar role in a technology company.
  • Experience working with senior executives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • Experience with cloud computing and enterprise technology.
  • Experience in security.
  • Experience in the cybersecurity industry, with a strong understanding of market trends and competitive dynamics.
  • Familiarity with Google's security products and services, including Mandiant's threat intelligence and consulting services.

About the job

As the Director, Strategy & Chief of Staff for Google Cloud CISO, you will be a key partner to the VP of Infrastructure Security. You will be responsible for driving the strategic agenda, leading critical initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence across the organization.

You'll serve in a highly respected position that plays a critical role in the Google Cloud CISO leadership team in shaping the direction of the organization, achieving operational accuracy, and executing to achieve trust for customers. You will partner closely with each leader in the organization, as well as leaders across Google Cloud, and exercise and build skill in working across security and trust at a Google Cloud scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $256,000-$360,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual strategic planning process for the Google Cloud CISO organization, in partnership with the leadership team.
  • Manage the operational rhythm of the business, including weekly leadership meetings, quarterly business reviews, and monthly team meetings.
  • Incubate and lead new strategic initiatives from conception to execution. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to the leadership team to inform strategic and operational decisions.
  • Act as a proxy for the VP in key internal and external meetings. Prepare briefing documents, presentations, and other materials for executive-level audiences.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, sales, marketing, and finance, to ensure alignment and execution of key priorities. Drive a culture of accountability and results across the organization.
