Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, enterprise software, or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of experience collaborating with senior stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or Master’s degree.
- 3 years of growth strategy experience.
- 3 years of experience working in a business environment with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., across engineering, product, technical program management, M&A, or operations) and directly collaborating and building trust with executive management.
- 2 years of strategy experience in business software or SaaS domain, with a good understanding of industry dynamics, competitive landscape, product differentiation, and GTM.
- Experience performing detailed business analysis of potential strategic recommendations (e.g., valuation and M&A analysis, partnership opportunities, or operational optimization).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Cloud Applications is a newly formed division within Google Cloud that aims to revolutionize how people work, create, and communicate, using AI. The division includes Google Workspace, a cloud-based productivity suite with AI powered communication, collaboration, co-creation, and also other innovative product groups within Cloud focusing on applied AI solutions and data solutions. The Cloud Applications business is large, fast growing, and looking to accelerate against a backdrop of economic and technological trends.
The Cloud Applications Strategy and Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team, is responsible for developing the overall Cloud Applications business strategy, identifying impactful growth opportunities, evaluating market expansion plays, tracking external trends and competitors, analyzing critical aspects of the business, and assessing potential M&A opportunities. As a Strategy Manager, you will manage and support multiple projects, lead research and analytical efforts, as well as partner with senior leadership across Cloud Applications and their direct reports. You will work cross-functionally to set and communicate strategy and decision-making with the broader organization.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$198,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Manage and support strategic initiatives across Cloud Applications, developing recommendations to the leadership team by analyzing strategic questions, developing and analyzing data, identifying priorities, and aligning with cross-functional partners across Engineering, Product, Merger and Acquisitions (M&A), Partnerships, Customer Experience, Marketing, and Sales.
- Deliver on multiple strategy projects including research and analysis, drafting strategy documents and presentation materials, stakeholder management, communicating recommendations to leadership, and landing the project team's work.
- Develop an understanding and strategic narrative across all components of the Cloud Applications business (e.g., Go-To-Market (GTM) execution, pricing, product launches, M&A, etc.).
- Synthesize and communicate decisions between executive management and the broader organization to ensure strategy and priority alignment.
