Director, Market Lead, Marketing, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 15 years of experience in the Marketing domain/digital marketing
  • Customer-facing experience, running engagements with clients (e.g., consulting, project management, sales, implementation or technical sales)
  • Experience with information technology and enterprise computer systems that support business goals (including experience with cloud, data, and AI technologies)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • 10 years of executive experience
  • Executive experience in digital transformation in marketing domain/selling to marketing/ad technology (e.g., consulting, technical services)
  • Experience operating in a global role/on a global scale
  • Solutions or selling experience with Alphabet products/solutions
  • Established, actionable, relevant executive/C-suite relationships and a reputation within the communications industry/ecosystem

About the job

As Market Lead, you will be responsible for progressing Google Cloud’s strategy for adoption and growth in the marketing domain across priority industries and marketing centric businesses including Martech/Adtech/Agencies. You will support client engagement. You will support sales teams in winning and growing customers, foster and develop the industry partner ecosystem in related domains including martech and adtech, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute against challenging growth goals. You will work with global and regional enablement teams to help develop and grow the Google Cloud Marketing community and field personnel to build deeper industry knowledge and capabilities across the company.

In this role, you will collaborate with and guide product and engineering on product strategy and roadmaps related to the marketing space, include data and analytics platform needs (i.e. Cortex), AI, and Generative AI for marketing. You will play a primary role in Google Cloud alignment with Global Business Organization (GBO) on solutions and narratives in the data and AI space, and will partner closely with GBO leadership and the Global Product Solutions organization.

Additionally, you will utilize a deep understanding of the Marketing domain, knowledge spanning Alphabet product areas, and the ecosystem of technology and services firms. You will also have an excellent perspective on the ongoing evolution and transformation in the function, and how cloud, data, and AI can serve companies' business objectives.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000-$363,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary driver of marketing Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and solutions roadmap for Google Cloud.
  • Participate in C-level and executive engagements in support of Sales teams’ account strategies. Support Independent Software Vendor (ISV), Technology and Systems Integrator partnership relationship and GTM.
  • Understand customer demand and work with our product, solutions, and partners teams to develop the marketing portfolio.
  • Partner with cross-functional product, solutions, and marketing to deliver on growth driven by marketing use cases in Data and AI. Build and foster relationships with Google leaders across the Cloud and broader Google organizations (e.g. GBO).
  • Participate in global thought leadership in industry events and publications.
