Technical Curriculum Developer, Infrastructure, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Architecture, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience with designing and developing learning solutions in various formats.
  • Experience with cloud computing technologies, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), DevOps practices and automation tools.
  • Experience in technical training and curriculum development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Experience with Camtasia, Articulate Rise, Adobe Captivate, or similar e-learning development tools.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Infrastructure Modernization solutions.
  • Experience in coding or scripting in any one of the following languages: Python, PHP, Go, Ruby, C#, Javascript, Perl, PowerShell, or Unix/Linux shells.
  • Experience with creating or managing lab activities or lab environments.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills for the purpose of knowledge transfer and skill development, including explaining technical topics to novice or non-technical audiences.

About the job

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain technical learning content and curricula for various cloud roles. These roles include Cloud Administrator, Cloud Solutions Architects, Site Reliability Engineers, DevOps Engineers and IT Managers. You will translate technical content into effective learning content and curricula. You will have an understanding of cloud computing technologies, learning and development tools and principles instructional design.

Responsibilities

  • Develop effective training for our customers with the help of Google Cloud technologies, and by gaining experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and subject-matter experts and partners in the development process.
  • Design and develop creative learner-centered training content and curriculum in multiple models, including instructor led training, on-demand interactive e-learning, videos, labs, job aides, facilitator guides, and resource materials. 
  • Identify the most appropriate training approach and content to meet the learning needs of each audience across multiple global locations by performing task analysis, scope projects, and evaluating existing documents.
  • Ensure and drive best-practices standardization across all projects, content and curricula.
