Strategic Partner Development Principal Lead, Android XR Glasses

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, or 8 years with advanced degree.
  • Experience in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across multiple levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience operating with flexibility in a fast-paced, always-on, constantly evolving and collaborative environment, and working cross-functionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally.
  • Strong, established, recognized executive relationships in CE ecosystems and knowledge of channels.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication and presentation skills on technical, contractual and financial issues.
  • Deep product, technical and business subject matter expertise or work experience in the XR (VR/AR/MR) space.
  • Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented and highly organized, and thrives in ambiguous, uncertain dynamics.

About the job

The XR Platform Partnerships team is seeking a talented, highly motivated and experienced lead to drive Glasses supply chain and channel programs (e.g., retail, carriers, enterprise) critical to the launch and distribution of XR/AI Glasses. In this highly cross-functional role, you will partner closely with product, engineering, finance, and StratOps to drive relationships and agreements with key partners.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $177,000-$256,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the global XR/AI Glasses value chain and channel partnerships (retail, carriers, enterprise), defining strategies and programs to optimize investment for maximum volume and engagement.
  • Cultivate deep relationships with external leadership and internal cross-functional stakeholders to identify, align, and execute key XR platform opportunities.
  • Act as a thought leader on the consumer electronics ecosystem and strategic trends, providing expert guidance to product and engineering teams on prioritization.
  • Drive the structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex, first-of-their-kind technology and GTM agreements with global partners.
  • Collaborate with product and finance to scale innovative revenue models while partnering across Android verticals to launch device bundling opportunities (e.g., mobile and glasses).
