Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of experience with sales in advertising, marketing, consulting, media, or business development agencies.
  • Experience in people management.
  • Ability to communicate in English and German fluently in order to coach sellers internally and interact with customers externally.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in building relationships with internal and external executive-level stakeholders, particularly in an advertising or marketing context.
  • Experience managing business teams.
  • Experience in digital media.
  • Ability to own business team operations, including portfolio management, team building, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) measurement and execution.

As a Sales Manager on the Mid-Market Sales Germany team, you will lead, coach and motivate a team to use their sales skills to understand our advertisers' needs and deliver solutions that grow their businesses. You will own relationships and partner directly with clients to deliver sustainable solutions. You'll also work with the Sales Leadership team to set strategic objectives and run the day-to-day operations for the business. You will accelerate business growth and think strategically about the business segment while working cross-functionally with partner teams. You will proactively think outside the box and be an advocate for customers to help shape the engagement and program design.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, retain, motivate and develop a client-facing sales team.
  • Deliver against ambitious business and product goals, grow engagement and client satisfaction for a portfolio of small businesses in an assigned market.
  • Analyze data, trends, and client performance with your teams to develop strategic plans for customers while tracking activity and provide detailed data analysis weekly, driving consistent CRM tracking.
  • Model and coach sales behaviors including C-level engagement, effective questioning, objection handling, and selling.
  • Ensure team readiness to deliver advertising solutions and create a culture of business innovation and advertiser success on the team.
