- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking.
- Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
- Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
- Experience developing or managing distribution channels and partnerships for Linear/PayTV or Subscription Video On-Demand (SVOD) services.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience managing complex, end-to-end partnerships.
- Experience negotiating media distribution agreements for linear, direct-to-consumer, transactional and ad-supported content.
- Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
- Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills, with the ability to identify business challenges, as well as deliver impact against goals.
About the job
The mission of the Media Co Partnership team is to make YouTube the essential platform for viewing content from TV, Film and Sports partners by driving meaningful business opportunities and distribution. We are responsible for negotiating distribution agreements and managing the platform partnership with Media Companies for YouTube across all business models (AVOD, SVOD, linear, TVOD).
As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to manage a portfolio of Media Co partners, managing the day-to-day relationship with key stakeholders across your partner portfolio, developing their businesses on YouTube across the appropriate business lines, lead negotiations for agreement renewals and new acquisitions, and manage partnerships with our top media and entertainment partners. You will lead agreements and partnerships across YouTube TV, Primetime Channels and AVOD. You will work closely with YouTube’s Product, Engineering, Marketing, Strategy, Business Affairs and Legal teams (among others) to resolve complex business issues, develop business strategies, inform product outlook, and operationalize our plans through optimal agreement structures and partnership management.

Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day relationship of Top Media Co partners across various business models (AVOD, SVOD, TVOD, Linear), while contributing to the refinement of YouTube’s strategic initiatives and presenting findings to executive management.
- Lead complex negotiations for distribution agreements, managing all aspects of the agreement lifecycle through final agreement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across YouTube and Google to ensure robust and effective execution of all partnership agreements and strategic initiatives.
- Guide media partners on best practices for maximizing their business, focusing on audience development, community building around their content and brands, and maximizing product and technology adoption to align with YouTube’s key growth objectives.
- Model, execute, and analyze key distribution performance metrics. Deliver insightful, data-driven quarterly and bi-annual performance reviews to partners, tracking growth and ensuring sustained, data-backed optimization.
