Minimum qualifications:
- 15 years of the sales leadership experience in a digital sales or advertising environment.
- Experience building and leading business pipeline directly and through coaching others.
- Experience leading commercial teams in an organization.
- Experience with commercial leadership in technology, advertising, or internet.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with the development of long-term business opportunities and relationships.
- Ability to identify issues and priorities and to escalate them regionally, globally, and to product teams.
- Ability to investigate performance, develop actionable insights, and capture opportunities.
- Ability to deliver a joint business strategy that is dynamic and balances short term delivery with longer term sustainable success.
- Ability to identify and develop talent as an authentic leader.
- Ability to communicate in French and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
About the job
As the Managing Director, Southern Europe, Google Customer Solutions (GCS), you will lead a Sales team, partnering with businesses ranging from digital disruptors to mature brands, from small businesses to large companies early in their digital transformation. You will leverage AI enhanced solutions to help each customer to meet their marketing goals. Your ability as a leader, understanding of digital media, and entrepreneurial drive will inspire the team to help customers to expand their businesses with Google's latest advertising products and solutions. You will innovate to help customers achieve business growth through digitization and will enable the team to set and achieve business and product goals, and OKRs. You will own the strategy, forecasting, planning, and execution of the business.
In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with staff, operating in a transparent way, and setting an example of respect and inclusion. You will help find, grow, and retain the talent who are our Googlers and prepare our next generation of leaders. You will lead a distributed team of Managers and high performing Sales organizations, made up of executives and professionals. You will set the long-term agency and advertiser strategy for the business, and hold your teams accountable for executing on that strategy. You will also collaborate effectively with Google’s Product, Partnerships, Marketing, Large Customer Sales, and Support businesses to drive business results.

Responsibilities
- Create strategy, critical initiatives, and KPIs, while ensuring that the resources are in place to exceed goals, and utilize the full power of the Google Platform.
- Hire, retain, and inspire a diverse customer-focused Sales team that engages with clients. Deliver against business goals and drive incremental business growth.
- Strengthen executive-level relationships through key executive meetings, quarterly reviews, and speaking engagements.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with partner teams (e.g., Marketing, New Business Sales, Finance, Central Strategy).
