Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in a management consulting, sales operations, business strategy or corporate advisory role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience including MBA, strategy consulting or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience effectively navigating complex, matrixed organizations, marshalling cross-functional teams to collaborate on cross-functional projects, and influencing executives.
  • Highly skilled at building persuasive, executive-level presentations, analyzing and distilling insight from complex data.
  • Track record of separately envisioning and scoping projects, structuring problems and building frameworks, and delivering compelling data-driven recommendations that shape businesses and organizations.

About the job

The Platforms and Devices Commercial Organization (PDCO) directly puts the magic of Google’s technology in consumers’ hands and homes, through the Pixel Mobile Products and Home and Health hardware and services businesses. The product categories we work across include Pixel phones and the supporting Pixel ecosystem (e.g., earbuds, tablets, smartwatches), as well as Fitbit, Nest and our Gemini-powered home and health subscriptions. We maximize sales and Monthly Active Users (MAUs) across these devices and services by working closely with the largest telcos, retailers and other partners in the Americas, along with our Google Store.

The mission of the Sales Strategy and Operations team is to chart the best course for the business and drive decision-making through the organization to pursue it.

As the leader of this team, you will partner closely with commercial leadership and a wide group of cross-functional stakeholders to shape the go-to-market (GTM) and growth of our fast-evolving products in highly engaged and dynamic markets. You will shape commercial strategy for a range of Google consumer hardware at the frontier of computing - from Pixel phones to Nest, Fitbit and more; and will help bring the best of Google's AI innovation directly into users' hands.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $124000 - $178000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Develop and pilot new GTM strategies across sales, marketing and other teams to grow market share and retain users.
  • Build market intelligence capabilities and distill insights that shape strategy - covering market trends, engaged intel and interpretation of partner earnings.
  • Drive business review cadence, including Objectives and Key Results (OKR) setting performance, and creating and maintaining source of truth for key business performance metrics; analyzing results to drive growth and optimization.
  • Enable sellers through development of pitch materials, talk tracks and training collateral.
  • Select strategy projects to identify areas of opportunity for the business.
