Supplier Relationship and Strategy Manager

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with a focus on business development, partnerships, or corporate strategy.
  • Experience leading negotiations for agreements (master agreements, IP licenses, JDAs) involving capital expenditure (CapEx) or operational expenditure (OpEx).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field.
  • 12 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or product engineering for hardware technology and systems.
  • Experience in fabless/foundry ecosystem, including familiarity with advanced packaging (2.5D/3D), Moore’s Law scaling challenges, and the IP vendor landscape.
  • Experience in Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) or managing strategic investment funds within a hardware context.
  • Ability to engage deeply with Principal Engineers and Architects to understand the "why" behind technology choices (e.g., HBM3e vs. HBM4, CoWoS vs. Info).
  • Ability to synthesize market data into strategic recommendations for C-Suite.

We are seeking a strategic leader to build and secure the external ecosystem required to power our next-generation custom silicon roadmaps.

As the Supplier Relationship and Strategy Manager, you will not just source technology—you will cultivate the market environment necessary for our success. You will act as the primary architect of our external relationships, managing long-term alliances, securing critical IP, and identifying strategic investment opportunities in startups and suppliers that provide us with an advantage.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $165,000-$245,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Architect and negotiate long-term strategic alliances and Joint Development Agreements (JDAs) with key technology partners (foundries, OSATs, substrate suppliers) to secure guaranteed access to future technology nodes and capacity.
  • Scout, evaluate, and execute strategic investment opportunities (equity stakes, NRE-heavy partnerships, etc.) within the semiconductor supply chain.
  • Serve as the internal authority on semiconductor market dynamics. Monitor geopolitical shifts, mergers and acquisitions activity, and participant ecosystem moves to anticipate supply chain risks and opportunities.
  • Move beyond transactional relationships to build integrated partnerships that align partner roadmaps with our long-term architectural goals. Conduct due diligence and build financial models to justify capital deployment to executive leadership.
  • Focus on emerging technologies (e.g., Silicon Photonics, novel cooling, new materials) and startups that strengthen our supply chain resilience and technical capabilities.
