  • Experience in hardware electrical engineering, and in displays, sensors, optoelectronics, or touch module engineering.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers. You will set strategy, streamline productivity, execute on schedule, and be responsible for managing/communicating status and issues.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead Mobile Display/Touch/Sensor modules hardware projects from product definition stage till design lock for mass production with cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with Display/Touch module Tech design teams, manage development of hardware modules, and drive the overall tactical execution and strategy of the team for one or more systems.
  • Provide structure for new NTI initiatives for Display/Touch/sensors technologies.
  • Lead hardware module development schedule, project phase gate reviews, and resolution on key technical issues with the cross-functional teams and vendors to meet system build milestones, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Track Display/Touch/sensors performance metrics and support competitive analysis, and implement process improvements to streamline module development.
