Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in product management or related technical roles.
- 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
- 5 years of experience defining, building and shipping consumer hardware products, from conception to launch.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
- Experience in technical fluency across hardware, systems, software and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning capabilities.
- Experience in Wearables or a related field, in a technical/product role.
- Experience in zero-to-one product development.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Design, UX, Sales, Finance, Legal, etc.
- Familiarity with human computer interface (HCI), on-device sensors, and algorithms.

As a Group Product Manager, you will have a deep consumer and user design sensibilities to grow direct product management and technical details. You will have to focus on resolving unique and complex trade offs at the intersection of engineering, industrial design and interaction design. You will have distinctive technical, research, problem-solving skills, combined with strong design and Human Computer Interaction (HCI) sensibilities, and exceptional communication and influencing skills. Your mission is to build the future of wearable computing, and we are passionate about crafting exceptional user experiences and products.
In this role, you will build wearable products at the frontier of several key technologies, and influence the evolution of computing devices and interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Define and advocate a compelling product goal and strategy for wearables products, securing buy-in across Google leadership.
- Lead the discovery, definition and development of the product, its core use-cases, its key interaction modalities, along with driving the execution for its associated hardware, software, interaction design, and use-cases.
- Work alongside Hardware Engineering, Industrial Design, UX and Software Engineering to make the right trade-offs and prioritization between capability and complexity, and manage high-quality product execution from product concept through prototyping, development and launch-ready product and experiences.
- Guide Product Management team on feature Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) developed in strong collaboration with partner teams during the product design phases.
- Understand product market needs, landscape, and emerging trends to identify future devices, form factor, technology and feature opportunities.
