Growth Marketing Manager, Play Games Go-To-Market

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in marketing working across one or more marketing fields (i.e. growth, product marketing, brand marketing, social).
  • Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in growth marketing or product marketing, on a consumer product.
  • Excellent creative, design and copywriting/editorial skills with an understanding of how to direct messaging and visuals to market and channel.
  • Experience in push marketing (email/notifications), CRM, Gaming, mobile, loyalty programs or e-commerce.
  • Experience partnering with Product Managers, Engineers and UX designers to drive business strategy.
  • Excellent problem-solving and quantitative reasoning skills.

About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

In this role, you will focus on driving user engagement and growth for Google Play Games. You will define and execute go-to-market strategies, planning content experiences, evaluating campaign performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across various marketing disciplines. You should have marketing experience, expertise in growth marketing, CRM, and a passion for gaming, you will focus on transforming a love of games into a career while impacting Google's games business.

Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.

Responsibilities

  • Define Go-To-Market strategies and plans, including value proposition, lifecycle, promotion, and content strategies.
  • Own the planning and execution of content experiences to grow our relationship with users.
  • Evaluate opportunities to improve performance of campaigns and experiences, sharing insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Work with a cross-functional group to design and execute detailed plans, operating across marketing disciplines including branding, outbound marketing, merchandising, CRM, and growth marketing.
  • Define success metrics and goals, monitor success, and guide the team in adjusting strategies based on insights.
