As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Google Photos and Google One (G1) team is dedicated to establishing the ultimate home for users life content, creating a unified membership experience that is safely stored and deeply understood through personalized AI. This team drives the subscription strategy, scaling G1 into a premier cross-Google AI membership that integrates seamlessly with major products like Gemini, Search, and Android. By reimagining Google Photos with personal intelligence they are transforming the app into a proactive, agent-first gallery that leverages Generative AI to deliver unique, user-centric value and creative tools.

In this role, you will work to expand the user base by making Google the trusted place for storage and backup, converting casual users into long-term subscribers through flexible plan architectures and engagement strategies. Google One (G1) is Google's membership for personal cloud storage and Google's AI features. G1 is one of Google's fastest growing subscriptions, with over 150 million subscribers. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Be a credible thought leader within Google and industry on the subject matter domain of the respective organization.  
  • Drive measurable program performance gains correlated to execution velocity. 
  • Be a change advocate responsible for initiating and leading multiple organizations through pivots needed to address shifts in business trends and priorities.
  • Be responsible to build and deliver an ambitious roadmap that delivers deep insights on our subscribers to our first-party partners, our own Product and Engineering teams that build Google's fastest growing subscription product and also our Photos Product teams.
  • Help our first-party partners understand our subscribers (in the case of G1) and our users (in the case of photos) really well and build products.
