About the job

Google’s Global Partnerships team powers extraordinary user experiences through partnerships that solve users’ needs, advance our partners’ goals, and further Google’s mission.

The Search Horizontal Partnerships team plays a critical role in delivering the next evolution of Google Search. The team helps connect Search to the vibrant content ecosystems within various third-party platforms, which provide the multimodal data (i.e., Imagery, Video, and Text) that will power a more fresh, engaging, and AI-powered Search experience. The team collaborates with a variety of cross-functional teams, and grows/manages a large pipeline of strategic and complex partners. Its mission is to consistently meet the needs of these internal constituents (e.g., Product, Engineering) while also ensuring success for our partner ecosystem.

As the Director of Search Horizontal Partnerships, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and optimizing relationships with partner ecosystems that provide rich content and bespoke integrations to enhance the Search experience. These ecosystems range from Social Media Platforms and Content Creators, to Image Licensors and Web Publishers. You will be responsible for setting the strategy for not only your team, but for Google’s direction on content acquisition across these partner segments, and their relevance to emergent, AI-powered features. You will collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Policy, Legal, gTech, Finance, and other Product Areas to execute complex agreements and/or accelerate the adoption of new technologies by third-party developers. You will track and analyze key metrics, proactively resolve escalated business and technical issues with our partners, and craft creative partnership opportunities with prudent new agreement structures.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $262,000-$369,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
