Technical Program Manager, Google Cloud Analytics and Insights

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in technical/engineering program management.
  • 8 years of experience with SQL queries, data modeling, or constructing data pipelines maintaining data workflows across multiple systems.
  • 8 years of experience using analytics to translate business issues into investigative solutions, and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics (e.g., cost savings, improved efficiency, improved velocity and quality of decision-making).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience utilizing AI tools/models as integral components for evaluating complex datasets and deploying production-grade agentic workflows to synthesize insights across datasets.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and exchange ideas to achieve broader organizational goals.

About the job

Within the Google Cloud organization, the Central Analytics and Insights function serves as the analytics and reporting foundation. The team provides a portfolio of data platforms and insights that support strategic planning, decision-making, and execution of product, platform, and customer priorities for the Google Cloud, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Technical Infrastructure organizations.

In this role, you will provide data and insights to support the organization. You will build analytics tools and platforms to assist teams with decision-making. At Google Cloud, you will present data to stakeholders and align cross-functional leadership. Additionally, you will use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies for predictive analytics to build solutions, improve products, and create process efficiencies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $192,000-$278,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary consultant to Vice Presidents (VPs) and Directors, translating complex business challenges into tractable data science solutions that drive high-stakes decision-making.
  • Lead the end-to-end life-cycle of advanced analytics initiatives, from establishing a single source of truth benchmarks to delivering dynamic, cross-domain trend analyses for senior leadership.
  • Shape the strategic direction of data engineering and infrastructure while leveraging AI-augmented workflows to scale team output and accelerate time-to-market.
  • Identify white-space opportunities for AI-powered insights, using what-if modeling and risk assessments to navigate technically and organizationally challenging problem spaces.
  • Synthesize sophisticated quantitative data into powerful visualizations and frameworks, ensuring data-driven initiatives effectively within a fluid, high-growth operating environment.
