Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience in management consulting or strategy roles, business development, or related roles in the Media and Entertainment industry.
  • Experience in researching consumer trends, participant strategies and industry developments to keep category offerings relevant.
  • Excellent communication skills to formulate and articulate contractual, technical, financial, and value points with partners and internal Google teams.
  • Excellent strategic consultation and analytical skills to work with senior internal and external stakeholders, with experience working in Business Development, Project Management, Program Management or Product Management roles.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a creative, open-minded, persistent, and collaborative understanding of Google products.

About the job

As a Strategic Partner Manager for Media Companies, you will serve as a critical thought-leader for YouTube and Media Companies. You will require a deep understanding of the Media and Entertainment (M&E) landscape, YouTube’s role in growing and shaping the landscape, and a passion for fostering mutually beneficial partnerships with M&E partners. You will require strong relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate complex cross-functional collaborations. Your role demands cross-functional leadership across multiple teams including Sales, Marketing, Legal, Product, Partnerships, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Build and develop commercial and strategic relationships with key partners across TV, Movies and Sports verticals. Manage and optimize partner performance on YouTube, focusing on maximizing reach, watch time, and audience engagement.
  • Connect partners to internal cross-functional opportunities, including product launches, content funding programs, and initiatives related to cTV.
  • Lead the definition of partner objectives and managing alignment across Marketing, Operations, Sales, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor and report on vertical/sub-vertical performance, identifying trends and opportunities within specific audience demographics.
  • Act as a domain expert for the Media and Entertainment sector, staying informed on market dynamics, engaged landscapes, and trends relevant to cTV audiences.
