Clinician Specialist, Consumer Health, Google Health

Minimum qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD, DO, MBBS or equivalent).
  • 5 years of experience in consumer-focused digital health product development focused on consumer health, consulting, or public health.
  • 5 years of experience driving projects with cross-functional teams.
  • 1 year of experience with AI in a health/healthcare setting.
  • Specialized training in preventative medicine, lifestyle medicine, functional/integrative medicine, or sports medicine (as demonstrated by completion of accredited residency, fellowship, equivalent certification, or equivalent work experience).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with research in generative AI, including safety approaches and peer-reviewed publications.
  • Experience in digital health evaluation and clinical research, including designing and conducting real-world evaluations.
  • Recognition as a national or emerging national leader in their specialty and digital health.
  • Demonstrated track record taking a consumer focused health or wellness product from concept to market.

About the job

As a Clinician Specialist you’ll be an effective and influential contributor to our work - developing intelligent and intuitive tools that help improve health journeys for users.

In this role, you will work with the YouTube Health team to increase the supply of high quality and engaging health information on the YouTube platform. You will work collaboratively to help the team build deep relationships with trusted health ecosystem partners including organizations and creators to bring more engaging, credible health content on the platform and to create and innovate new ways of sharing health information like on YouTube. In addition, as a member of the broader Google Health team, you will be at the forefront of collaborating with internal research, product, and engineering teams to build novel AI powered products and features to help Google and its partners and customers improve consumer health.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $146,000-$214,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Use clinical expertise to provide guidance, insights and direction for Google’s consumer products, particularly YouTube, working very closely with product, policy, and partnership teams.
  • Understand the complex health and healthcare environment and ecosystem, and translate this understanding into partnership relationships, content strategy, policy recommendations, and product requirements.
  • Identify relevant evidence-based practice and use this to influence partnership strategy, content, policy, and product development.
  • Contribute to the development of generative AI products to enhance access to reliable and credible information.
